This piece is inspired by an ammonite, a prehistoric squid-like creature that lived inside a shell and swam with its tentacles. They grew up to 9 feet in diameter. My artistic interpretation of this fascinating animal is handmade from sterling silver and 14k gold. The shell is sterling silver, with 14k gold tentacles, and a 14k gold bezel around the Natural Australian opal set at the center. The tentacles are tipped with moissanites. Moissanite is a beautiful lab grown gem that rivals diamonds for sparkliness and hardness.
The chain is a 16" 14k gold filled cable chain with a spring ring clasp and 1.5" of extender chain. If you would like a solid 14k gold chain, please message me, it would cost an additional $200.
